Why will my Lathe not work?

I have a 14" x 40" Central Machinery Wood Lathe, the one with the 6" sanding disc. I did not do any kind of rewiring and I have turned some things on it. But now it won't even start, it does not make any sounds or even appear to try to turn. Please, if there is anyone who can help that would be great.

have you checked all your connections and plug ins and checked the breaker?

there should be a reset breaker on the lathe and a breaker on the garage or where ever you are working. Check both.

get a lamp and check your outlet!

I don't know that brand but do know the brushes in the motors of the Chicago brand stuff last about 6 to 8 hours then have to be reset or replaced.

I have mice and rats in the barn where all the equipment is kept. they have been known to chew the cords. I cannot get rid of them. Cats, poisons, etc but they keep coming back and destroying cords on stuff.
