Vertu Ferrari Giallo
Vertu have renewed their ties to Ferrari by launching a new collection of Ascent Ti phones directly inspired by Ferrari's cars. The Ferrari Ascent Ti collection consists of three phones named after their respective colors; a limited edition phone called the Nero and two special edition phones named Rosso and Giallo. The Nero phone is an all black Ascent Ti made of titanium coated with scratch proof PVD with a red sapphire crystal pillow. The Rosso and Giallo phones are red and yellow receptively and feature PVD coated battery covers and keys, they feature ceramic pillows. The battery cover of all three phones has been redesigned to resemble the hood of a Ferrari and features a three dimensional Cavallino on the battery cover as well as a smaller one on the front. The phones feature Ferrari inspired themes as well as ring tones featuring Ferrari engine sounds, only 2,009 examples of the Vertu Ferrari Ascent Ti Nero will be made.

Vertu introduced a new line in the collection of luxury mobile phones, Ascent Ti Damascus Steel. The Damascus Steel Ascent Ti is made using an ancient steel forging method which consists of continuous folding and hammer-forging to improve the strength and hardness of the metal. This method was used to create blades including the Japanese Samurai, Franconian and Indian Wootz swords during different periods of time in history. Vertu Ascent Ti – Support GSM cellular networks and UMTS, Series 40 platform, 3-MP camera, a display with a resolution 240h320 points and 4 GB of internal memory.
The Ascent Ti Damascus Steel has been announced by Vertu, the latest in its line of luxury handsets, and this one even has 3G.Vertu is no stranger to pumping out high-end, high cost- and arguably low-tech- handsets, but it seems that this time around it's decided to put a little more under the bonnet. A mighty fine bonnet it is too.
The Ascent Ti runs on the Symbian S40 OS and features 3G, a 3-megapixel camera, and 4GB of internal user memory.Naturally though, the bulk of the appeal, and cost, lies in the Damascus Steel's crafted casing, which gets the hand-finished touch courtesy of the skilled peeps at Vertu's London base.
