Battery Modeling Expert to Unveil Coupled Li-ion Simulation Tool

NEW YORK, NEW YORK and LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Nov. 4, 2009) -

CD-adapco, a leading provider of Engineering Simulation tools for fluid dynamics and heat transfer, today announced a pioneering collaboration with Battery Design LLC, a world leading provider of battery modeling software, with the aim of delivering a coupled simulation capability in early 2010. Battery modeling expert Robert Spotnitz will discuss these developments at two upcoming events.

The collaboration will add an additional simulation capability to CD-adapco's flagship STAR-CCM+ simulation tool, providing the automotive industry with the first comprehensive tool to enable the study of interaction between a cell or battery and its automotive environment. Initial applications will focus on the critical thermal management issues that have a direct influence on both battery temperature and safety.

does it matter if your apple macbook laptop is a different model number to you battery or mains adapter?

for example your laptop is model no.a1181 and your mains charger is a1184 and your battery is a1185. will it not work or may it work but be danerous? cause mine are different should they be all the same model number?

I think as long as they're compatible, it'll be alright, check with apple for compatibility. Normally if the battery and/or charger gave the same output as the original it will be alright. Once I use 45w main charger on my iBook (the original one is 65w) and I still could use it, albeit longer battery charging
